Nowak’s work inspirations are present
occurrences. She makes use of not sharp paparazzi photos,
from smudged Xerox and tabloids paper, looking
for a new or added meaning. Her paintings are often portraits
of important for contemporary pop culture persons. „
Celebrities cult has been led to the absurd - and
these absurd and his consequences I’m trying to show.“ – Nowak
says. She is intrigued of multicolor and exceptionality of once, and fully average of
the others, different persons are also interesting for her
because of their artifice and lack of natural traits. In her works the artist explores her
fascination towards the
boarder between the medial and private image. Her inspiration
is also the phenomena of pop culture, advertisement, politic and art mix. Permeate of
those branches and theirs mutual influence she is
showing on the paper, in collage and in drawings. She is
also looking for pretext for form experiments there. It’s
important that language which she is using
is corresponding with the content. She makes use of the
current painter experiences at the
same time experimenting, keeping a dialogue. Creation and
process constitute development, build up some continuum. This process could
develop independently from the content, because is a looking for form.
